How it all began…

Pamela and KathyPamela discovered the need for grief-sensitive artwork when she tried to decorate her office in the local children’s grief center, but found none. She asked her friend Kathy to make a few posters for her. The interest generated from this spurred griefposters.com. With access to both a grief facilitator and a graphic designer, we can offer beautifully done subject-sensitive posters to help educate and heal.

She earned her B.A. in Psychology from Cal State University, San Bernardino and is completing her Master’s from Claremont Graduate University. She is a bereavement coordinator for one of the local hospices near her Rancho Mirage, California home and is also a grief counselor at a center for grieving children. Pamela currently facilitates grief support groups for children and teenagers who are coping with the loss of someone they love. Additionally, she is instrumental in creating a children’s bereavement camp which will welcome 50 grieving children to a free camp in Big Bear, California, in the summer of 2007.

Palm TreesPamela’s choice of career was born of personal sorrow. While still in her 20’s, both of her parents died. Unfortunately, they never had the opportunity to know Pamela’s two children who are now teenagers. Pamela has learned from both personal and professional experience how important it is to be understood when you’re grieving. Twelve years ago she embarked on a lifelong journey to help other grieving people and children. Grief Posters.com is an integral part of that journey! Pamela may be contacted at Pamela@griefposters.com.
